Construction and Infrastructure
The general requirement is to provide clean, simple, good quality and durable facilities and infrastructure, with the following qualities:
- Appearance must be appropriate to the taste of rural people, while giving an air of quality and professionalism. It should not be so modern or upscale in appearance as to be intimidating.
- Buildings will optimally be single story, however two-storey structures may also be suitable.
- Grounds and gardens should be well maintained and in local style, with established trees being left in place wherever possible.
- Building should be well-constructed using the best available materials.
- Use of alternative/non-conventional sources of energy, such as solar, should be used wherever possible.
- Backup power supply (generators).
- Clean independent water supply.
- Adequate water purification facilities.
- Adequate mons0on drainage.
- Good ventilation.
- Air conditioning in some areas.
